Android 4.1.1 Jellybean Update For The Nexus S Is Now Available

When google announced Jellybean they were happy to say that the galaxy nexus, motorola xoom and the nexus s will get first dibs on this new iteration of android. The galaxy Nexus has received its official 4.1 update for about a week now and updates for the nexus s are now starting to roll out. An Android Police reader has reported receiving the 4.1.1 update on his GSM Nexus S (I9023). It's a 114.4MB update, which brings the build number to JEO03E. OTA updates are slowly rolling out in some regions but if you can't wait for it you can always manually install it by downloading  the update from Google's servers and flashing it manually. Just to take note to flash to 4.1 you must have stock ICS ROM and have a custom recovery software such as ClockworkMod installed. But if you are not willing to take the risk you could always wait till the OTA update comes. Here is the direct download link to Google's servers.
