Hashwell Mobile Processor Roadmap Leaked

The latest leak shows intel's mobile processor roadmap. According to the roadmap 4th Gen intel core i series of mobile processors codnamed Hashwell will launch in the 1st half of 2013. Newer ivy bridge mobile processors will come as early as Q4 2012. The ultrabook processors was not left behind as the new U series of processors will debut in Q1 2013 (Core i7-3687U and Core i5 3437U) and these processors will be the last ivy bridge processors for ultrabooks, then in Q3 Hashwell processors will take the spots of those ultrabook processors. Hashwell processors will be utilising intel's 22nm Tri-gate architecture which was introduced in ivy bridge processors. According to intel's tick tock chart, Haswell is a tock which means it will use the hashwell  architecture opposed to ivy bridge processors using the sandy bridge architecture.  

Intel would first launch three new Quad Core mobile chips which are listed below:
  • Core i7 3940XM (3.0GHz)
  • Core i7 3840QM (2.8GHz)
  • Core i7 3740QM (2.7GHz)
Intel also plans to launch the Dual core variants in first quarter of 2013 which are listed below:<
  • Core i7-3540M (3.0GHz)
  • Core i5-3380M (2.9GHz)
  • Core i5-3340M (2.7GHz)
