Raising Awareness Of Computer Programming, Everyone Should Learn It

Yesterday i came to know a YouTube video which was very popular, so i took the time to watch the video. After watching the video i went to see the website and i was instantly convinced about the issue. The video entitled "what most school's don't teach". The video is about computer programming and they bring up the fact that our younger generation have no idea what coding is. In the 5 min version of the video i watched they compiled short interviews by well know personalities and creators of big websites. The video did impact me that not many people know what exactly is coding. Personally i do know some short HTML codes because of writing blogs, but further than that i'm completely blind about coding. So shortly after browsing through the site, i agreed to the petition on the code.org page about schools teaching students coding. Then i also started learning the basics of coding at codecademy, which is one of the many online sites which teach coding. I started off with the basics of HTML. At first it was a bit hard but after a few lessons i got the hang of it and then i immediately felt the urge to continue. I've completed quite a few lessons and overall i think its really fun to code. So with this i would like you to give it a try to at www.codecademy.com. Also watch the short film below, you'll be inspired by the hard work the creators put in.
"I think everybody in this country should learn how to program a computer because it teaches you how to think" ~Steve Jobs~
“Learning to write programs stretches your mind, and helps you think better, creates a way of thinking about things that I think is helpful in all domains.“ ~Bill Gates~
“Our policy at Facebook is literally to hire as many talented engineers as we can find. There just aren't enough people who are trained and have these skills today.“ ~Mark Zuckerberg~
“Computer programming is the single best professional opportunity in the world. We need more Americans in the field. Let’s go!“ ~Steve Ballmer~
