iOS has been pretty much looking the same since it was introduced in 2007. The whole UI of the OS was unchanged but over the years Apple introduced a lot of new features like multitasking gestures on the iPad, addition of a notification panel, and many more. But none of there incremented features are worthy. With Scott Forstall no longer in Apple and Johny Ive taking over the iOS software design expect to see some radical changes in iOS 7 this year. iOS 6 is the next iteration of iOS, since it was introduced 5 years ago on the original iPhone the interface didn't change much at all. iOS 5 is one of the versions which things do change, but to me iOS 6 is just a small leap for apple.
