When Apple announced iOS 6 in WWDC one of the newest features is passbook which is a mobile paying app. Currently the passbook app in the iOS 6 Beta is still not functioning. When talking about mobile payment systems on mobile devices is NFC, near field communication. Most of the mobile OS have NFC support including the upcoming windows phone 8. One of the rumored specs of the iPhone 5 is NFC support and it is supposedly suppose to work with the passbook app. Now it seems we have a leak of the NFC chip which is embedded on the display assembly of the iPhone 5. This will help make NFC more popular and for apple to compete with Google Wallet.

UBREAKiFIX.com said one of its distributors claimed that they have the assembly for the iPhone 5. From the image we can interpret that the iPhone 5 will indeed have a 4 inch screen and confirms the rumors which are spreading. The new display will have an 1136 X 640 resolution and will keep the same PPI of the 4S which is 330PPI. The screen is expected to be a 16:9 panel so it will be able to play videos on full screen. To show some authenticity UBREAKiFIX.com showed some serial numbers on the parts. This may be the real deal or one of Apple's many prototypes. The iPhone 5 is slated to be unveiled on September 12 and will be up for sale on AT&T on the 21st which is 9 days from launch.
