Parody Videos On The Apple Maps

The apple maps have been on of the most talked tech topic in the past few weeks and alongside that there are many negative comments on it. But despite all of the bad comments majority of iOS 6 users actually didn't quite care about the maps quality. It is about a month since iOS 6 was launched and the apple maps actually is way better than before but still far from average. Here is 3 parody videos of the Apple Maps.

Apple Retracts Their Statement About Their Maps App

Earlier today we reported that Apple has created a special section for alternative mapping solutions. Now Apple has done something else by retracting their statement about their iOS 6 maps. Previously the statement says that their maps is the most powerful mapping service ever and now it the a beautiful vector based interface that scales an zooms with ease. Apple is now working very hard to improve the quality of their maps and by the time they hold their next WWDC it is most probably a more perfect maps app.

Tim Cook Represents Apple In Apologizing To The Public About The Apple Maps

Apple Maps have been receiving quite some negative feedback from customers. So for the first time in Apple history Tim Cook is apologizing to the customers and saying that they are extremely sorry for the maps they released for iOS 6. In his official statement he recommended either using Waze, Bing or Mapquest from the App Store. He also said that Google Maps and Nokia Maps can be accessed through the we browser. 

To our customers,

At Apple, we strive to make world-class products that deliver the best experience possible to our customers. With the launch of our new Maps last week, we fell short on this commitment. We are extremely sorry for the frustration this has caused our customers and we are doing everything we can to make Maps better.

We launched Maps initially with the first version of iOS. As time progressed, we wanted to provide our customers with even better Maps including features such as turn-by-turn directions, voice integration, Flyover and vector-based maps. In order to do this, we had to create a new version of Maps from the ground up.

There are already more than 100 million iOS devices using the new Apple Maps, with more and more joining us every day. In just over a week, iOS users with the new Maps have already searched for nearly half a billion locations. The more our customers use our Maps the better it will get and we greatly appreciate all of the feedback we have received from you.

While we’re improving Maps, you can try alternatives by downloading map apps from the App Store like Bing, MapQuest and Waze, or use Google or Nokia maps by going to their websites and creating an icon on your home screen to their web app.

Everything we do at Apple is aimed at making our products the best in the world. We know that you expect that from us, and we will keep working non-stop until Maps lives up to the same incredibly high standard.

Apple Maps Apologizes To The General Public About Its Incapabilities
