The Galaxy Note II might be out now but there are still over 10 million Galaxy Note I users. One of the promises that Samsung made was to upgrade the Galaxy Note I to Jellybean, but no specific time frame was given. Jellybean for the S3 is now out and Jellybean for the S2 will come by the end of November so the best time frame for samsung to release the Jellybean update for the Note I is either early November or Early December. But now there is a leaked firmware and the new update brings most of the Note II features to the Note I. You can install it but at your own risk, here is the XDA thread on this. A few weeks back Samsung released an official list of device which will receive the jellybean and the Galaxy S II were among the devices. One very important thing that Samsung did not include with the list of devices is a time frame of about when these updates will roll out. Now Samsung has just confirmed that the Galaxy S II I9100 will get the Jellybean update by the end of november. This update is expected to bring the new TouchWiz Nature UX to the S2 and other Jellybean exclusive features.

The Samsung Galaxy S III is one of the most popular android phone and Samsung made a statement that it will be updating all of its high end phones to Jellybean in a short period. And now Android Central is saying that Samsung will be updating the Galaxy S III to Android 4.1 Jellybean next week. They are familiar to Samsung's schedule and says that the update will be available after their Samsung Mobile Unpacked event is over. The update will start rolling out internationally including the UK. In this update Jellybean exclusive features will be there including Google Now. TouchWiz features will include "dormant mode" which improves the notification and alerts, the "easy mode" which will include easy home screen functionality.

Earlier when Google announced Android 4.1 jellybean, many users were excited about it and then Samsung made an official statement that they will be updating higher end models like the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note. Through the past weeks we already knew that Samsung will be pushing the Jellybean update in Q3, but we still didn't know which models will get it. Now we have got a confirmation from Sammobile which they got from their insider. Their insider said that Samsung is busy testing the jellybean ROM on the Galaxy S II and currently the tests are fine and Samsung will will release the official update via KIES when it passes the tests. The official release date for it is set at the September to October time frame. The Galaxy Note is also confirmed to get the Jellybean update because it has the same hardware as the Galaxy S II. So currently Samsung will be updating more older devices to Jellybean than HTC, LG, Sony or even Google.

Samsung is slated to release Jellybean updates for their devices by end of Q3. The 4 phones sitting in the hot spot is the Samsung Galaxy S III, S II, Note and Note II. The Galaxy Note II and Galaxy S III is confirmed to receive this update. The Galaxy Note and Galaxy S II has passed tests and now is up to Samsung to decide wheter they will receive the update.
