LG Optimus G, Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro Quad Core Processor

LG has uploaded their 7th video promo of their Optius G flagship smartphone. In this video Steve Mollenkopf, president and chief operating officer at qualcomm talks about the snapdragon s4 pro quad core processor in the Optimus G. He says that the quad core krait processor easily outperforms other quad core solutions in the market in independent benchmarks. Performance, power and battery is balanced in the Optimus G.

LG E973 Optimus G Image Leaked

LG is expected to unveil a quad core flagship phone next week at IFA. Recently we reported that LG has released a teaser video for a flagship device and now it seems we have more info on it. It will be called the LG E973 Optimus G, and it has now leaked with some specs about it. The specs include a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processors clocked at 1.5GHz, 2GB of RAM, Adreno 320 graphics, a 4.7" IPS HD display with a resolution of 128 X 720 which translates to a 320ppi, and it will have a 13MP camera. This phone will most probably be running ICS out of the box and will be updated to jellybean in Q4.  IFA is just next week and we will be reporting live what is happening and what new devices are being unveiled.

The Oppo Find5 X909 Is Claimed To Be The World's Thinnest Quad Core Android Smartphone In History

Currently the world's thinnest smartphone is the 6.65mm Oppo Finder which is a dual core phone. But now Oppo is stepping up the game by giving us a glimpse of the world's thinnest quad core smartphone. The Oppo Find5 X909 is only 6.9mm thick and they managed to put a quad core Snapdragon S4 Pro (same as the one on the Xiami Phone 2). This phone will have a 4.5" screen with a resolution of 1280 X 720 and has a 12 MP camera. The front facing camera is a 2MP shooter. With all of this hardware they paired the phone with a 2500mAh battery. The phone will come either in 16GB or 32GB and has 2GB of RAM. The final model will most probably come with Android 4.1 Jellybean preinstalled. This all sounds too good to be true, again this is still a rumor and might not be that true after all. Even though this phone does come with this specs it will most probably launch in the asian market only and not other places like the US.

Xiaomi Phone 2 Unveiled, First Phone With Quad Core Snapdragon S4

The Xiaomi 2 has launched and it shows that China is not only capable of making cheap Knockoff phones but it is also capable of making cheap yet powerful phones. The Xiaomi 2 is packing a Quad Core Snapdragon S4 Pro which is also the first phone using the krait architecture, this processor was actually intended to be used on tablets. It has a 720P screen which is 4.3" and utilises a IPS LCD display and achieved a 342 screen Pixel density. It also has 2GB of RAM to ensure the support of Jellybean. The camera on this phone is backlight illuminated and has a 5 layer lens like the one on the iPhone 4S. This phone will ship with a 2000mAh battery but the company will sell a model with a 3000mAh battery. The best thin is that this phone will only cost $310 and it is very irresistible because of the technologies it has and the price. This phone will be available starting October.

Snapdragon S4 Pro Paired With Adreno 320 Graphics Beats The New iPad's PowerVR GPU

One of the best things about the new iPad is its GPU which set the record for GL benchmark and ever since no other GPU could come close to what it scored. The device which beat the iPad's quad core GPU is the LG E970 which has a Snapdragon S4 Pro paired with Adreno 320 graphics. Other S4 Pro powered phone used to be in the top 5 list below the iPad 3 but now it has finally overthroned the iPad 3's GPU. This was made possible by optimizations as the handset is reaching the retail phase or it is just a simple overclock on the GPU as the CPU is reported to have the same speed of 1.5GHz. This means that AT&T and Sprint customers will soon enjoy having one of the most powerful android phone in terms of graphics (LG E970 for AT&T and LS970 "Eclipse" for Sprint as well as a HTC 6435 device with the S4 Pro)
