BlackBerry Z10 Drop Test, Just Like Any Other Smartphone

Last week Blackberry10 was launched and the first device to reach the market is the Z10. This phone like any other modern smartphone features a touchscreen. One interesting things is that the glass on top the Z10 is not protected by Gorilla Glass. So how does it fare in a drop test, the answer is below with a video by Mashable. For a bit spoiler, the phone fares pretty well in soft surfaces.

Samsung Fighting The Pre BB10 Launch With New Ad, Unicorn Apocalypse ?

With the launch of BB10 next week we are going to see wheter RIM has to pack up or stay. The launch is on wednesday and till today there has been quite many leaks of potential devices running the new OS. RIM is also set to make a big impact in the US market in which they are trying to fight back their market share with the launch of BB10. Samsung, dominating the smartphone world is trying to fight back with this new ad by Samsung Mobile USA in which they talk about the safety enterprise features of the GS3 and the GN2. Overall this is a very weird move and makes it look like Samsung is scared.

RIM Teases BB10 On Their Site, The Blackberry Experience Re-Designed, Re-Engineered, Re-Invented

Currently RIM is on the verge of death and their only savior which is BB10 is only launching in the end of January. It is about 1.5 months more before BB10 is officially released to the market and RIM decided to create some buzz by teasing it on their website. On the page itself there is a phone which seems to be one of their touch devices and has a sort of textured surface on the back and some silvery buttons on the top and sides. The camera hole is on the top corner and is accompanied with a flash. The catch phrase is "The Blackberry Experience Re-Designed, Re-Engineered, Re-Invented". In the page there is also some videos about BB10 as well as a highlight about staying in touch with a single swipe. In the bottom of the page there are some news highlights about BB10. Blackberry 10 Device For Verizon Leaked

RIM is set to officially launch BB10 early next year and is expected to reinvent what we think of Blackberry. Last week some videos leaked online showing the gestures for navigating through BB10. Now we have some specs of a BB10 device codnamed Laguna and it is headed to Verizon with 4G LTE support. The device will have an unusual 4.2" screen with a HD+ display of 1280 X 768 and translates into a 355PPI which is a pretty astounding number. The phone will be powered by a dual core Snapdragon processor and 1GB of RAM. The camera in the rear is an 8MP shooter capable of taking 1080P video. 16GB of onboard storage and an expandable microSD slot is available. All of this is running of a 1800mAh battery with BB10 inside.

Blackberry 10 L And N Series Devices Leaked

Last week at Blackberry Jam 2012 RIM showed us some of the features of Blackberry 10. Although RIM is set to officially launch BB10 early next year it seems like the OS is already nearly complete. We have seen the BB10 Dev alpha device numerous times but till now we have not seen any of the BB10 devices. Well here is a leak of future BB10 devices, this include the L and N series of devices. The L series is a full touch based phone and is targeted towards the general consumer. The N series in the other hand looks like the current Bold 9900 without the touch buttons and it also keeps the QWERTY keyboards RIM is known for. Personally i think that blackberry is a very good looking OS but the problem now is the ever growing competition. The competition might just force RIM in to bankrupcy, who knows how will blackberry be in this time next year ? But overall the touchscreen BB10 is to my likings.
