RIM Teases BB10 On Their Site, The Blackberry Experience Re-Designed, Re-Engineered, Re-Invented

Currently RIM is on the verge of death and their only savior which is BB10 is only launching in the end of January. It is about 1.5 months more before BB10 is officially released to the market and RIM decided to create some buzz by teasing it on their website. On the page itself there is a phone which seems to be one of their touch devices and has a sort of textured surface on the back and some silvery buttons on the top and sides. The camera hole is on the top corner and is accompanied with a flash. The catch phrase is "The Blackberry Experience Re-Designed, Re-Engineered, Re-Invented". In the page there is also some videos about BB10 as well as a highlight about staying in touch with a single swipe. In the bottom of the page there are some news highlights about BB10. RIM has 3 Last Minute Choices to Survive

Last week RIM announced that blackberry 10 devices will only be shipping in the first quarter of 2013. Now RIM has 3 choices to survive the first is to sell the company off, And Microsoft might be one of the buyers. The second choice is splitting the company int to two. The data network could be sold to Microsoft for their office 365 and will somehow end up in Nokia phones. Apple might also look in to buying their data network for their iMessage app. Or the last choice is do nothing and hopefully the launch of Blackberry 10 will save RIM. Click here to find out more

RIM's Blackberry advertising

as you know there is a website called wake-up-australia.com.au, for the past few days there was a countdown clock on the site. so what happens when the clock goes to 0. if you go to the site now you will be redirected to www.wakeupbebold.com.au. the website is basically an advertisement for Blackberry. when you enter the site your screen is gushed with black paint and the word WAKE UP appears and these words appear while being narrated by a man with footsteps as background music:

wake up

it's time to mean business.
now before you go looking for your suit an briefcase,
we're not talking about that kind of business.

Business is no longer just a suit-wearing,
cubicle-sitting, card-carrying kind of pursuit.

These days being 'in business'
means you're the kind of person
who takes action and makes things happen.

You don't just think different...
you do different.

it's a simple choice:

you're either her to leave your mark
and eat opportunity for breakfast

Or

you're satisfied to just float through life
like a cork in the stream.

Now, we know some people will choose
to float on by and that's fine

Being in business is not for everyone,

but unfortunately...there is no middle ground.
you're either in business or you're not.

for those of us with our eyes wide open,
we need to realise there's only one device
for people who mean business...
the brand that's been in business
from the very beginning

RIM Admits being the one behind "Wake Up" Protest in Sydney

The Australian "Wake Up" campaign that included a flash mob/Protest outside of Apple’s Sydney store last week was actually sponsored by RIM, the Waterloo company has revealed. Many were expecting Samsung to be behind the campaign, given its history of lampooning Apple and their upcoming launch of "the next Galaxy" on May 3rd. The Sydney store event featured dozens of black-clad protesters holding black "Wake Up" signs and arriving in a black bus which is painted with the word "wake Up", after that they started to chant and shout "Wake Up". The sight was captured by Australian blogger Blunty (video below), who RIM has denied employing to record the incident. As The Age points out, the source code of the Wake Up website was found to contain a Doubleclick account identifier pointing to RIM’s Australian site. The phone maker responded earlier today with a statement reading:
"We can confirm that the Australian ‘Wake Up’ campaign, which involves a series of experiential activities taking place across Sydney and Melbourne, was created by RIM Australia. A reveal will take place on May 7th that will aim to provoke conversation on what ‘being in business’ means to Australians."
