Android 4.1 Jellybean Now Has Over 6% Market Share, Adoption Is Doubling

This year Android has grown is market share drastically and currently 9 out of 10 phones in China are android powered, that is pretty amazing. Here we have this the android version distribution collected during a 14 month period ending December 3. To no shock at all Android 2.3X gingerbread is still leading the way with a little over 50% of the android market share. Coming in second is Android 4.0.X which is having a 27.5% market share and that number is continuing to grow each time we see an android version distribution chart. Android 2.2 Froyo has a 10.3% market share and that is good enough to be placed third. Android 4.1 Jellybean's market share doubled and now is about 6% additionally Android 4.2 is now on 0.8% of the total android devices. The Android 4.1 Jellybean market share is expected to increase the next time we see another chart because manufacturers like Samsung, HTC, Sony and many more are planning to push updates to their older devices.
