Apple Creates New Section In App Store For Alternative Mapping Apps

A few days ago Tim Cook released an official statement apologizing to the public that their maps app on iOS 6 is not that capable and asked users to use alternative solutions like waze, bing maps and mapquest. Now apple has made it easier for users to find map app on the app store by putting it in a category. Just go to the app store on your iOS 6 device and click the find maps for your iPhone tile to be redirected to a whole page of mapping apps. Other than that Apple also created a dedicated page on their site telling users how to pin a website icon on your homescreen. They also said that using nokia maps or google maps for the mean time while waiting for the iOS 6 maps to be better.
