The Pureview Camera In The Lumia 920 Is The Reason For The Lumia 920's Thickness

The Nokia Lumia 920 is a worthy competitor in the ever growing smartphone market. The Lumia 920 also represents the Windows Phone 8 ecosystem and is the flagship device. When compared with the Samsung Galaxy S III and the iPhone 5 the hardware is pretty much at the same level but when it comes to thickness the Lumia 920 is the thickest among them all. But there is a reason behind the thickness of it, The camera module is the culprit. But with its superior imaging capabilities and branded as a Pureview camera it is understandable as the camera module itself is about 7mm thick. But overall it is still thinner than the Lumia 800 and 900. The camera on the Lumia 920 is a purview camera with Carl Zeiss optics, Optical Image Stabilization with the floating lens technology, 26mm focal length, an F2.o aperture, a true 16:9 sensor, and an 8.7MP camera sensor. All of these features make the Lumia 920 the best camera smartphone.
