The Total Number Of Smartphone Users Is Now Over 1 Billion

The mobile industry has been growing at a very fast rate in the past few years and according to a study research experts at strategy analytics have estimated that the total number of smartphone users worldwide has reached the 1 billion mark for the first time in history since the first smartphone was introduced in 1996. That all adds up to on out of 7 people in the world has a smartphone in their hands. A smartphone can be an android, iPhone, windows phone, blackberrys and even symbian phones. They also predict that the smartphone market will reach 2 billion users by the year 2015 which is 3 years from now. They predict that the Android user base will surpass the 1 billion mark next year. Currently Android has over 500 million devices and apple has over 400 million iOS device sold so reaching 2 billion is an easy task.
