These few days high end smartphones are the topic with HTC and Oppo announcing super powerful phones.   These devices being announced are all 5" and are in the neighborhood of the phablet category. In fact these devices are more powerful than the ever dominating Galaxy Note II. But none of these devices can beat the Galaxy Note II in terms of functionality and productivity. Now there is some news about a Huawei deivce which has a 6.1" screen and is ready to take on the Galaxy Note II. The Huawei Ascend Mate has been listed to have a 6.1" screen with 1080P resolution, 2GB of RAM, 1.8GHz quad core processor made by Huawei themselves, a 4000 mAh battery and a slim 9mm chassis. The quad core chip in this device is expected to be based on the Cortex A15 core and this device will also run the latest version of android which is jellybean an has Huawei's EMUI 1.5 on top. If Huawei added a stylus input of some sort with this device then they got the correct formula to bring the Galaxy Note II down. This phone is expected to make an appearance at MWC 2013.
