Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 And GTX 650 Launching On September 13

The guys over at Nvidia is set to launch their two entry level gaming cards which are the GTX 660 and the GTX 650 on the 13th of September. Both the GTX 660 is based on the GK 106 core and the GTX 650 is based on the GK 107 core. Both of these cards will feature a short PCB design and are low powered cards so both of these cards will only need 1 6pin PCI-E power connector. The GTX 660 has 960 CUDA cores, 2GB of GDDR5 memory which is 192 bit wide. The core is clocked at 980MHz and has a boost clock of 1033MHz, The memory is clocked at 6.08GHz. The GTX 650 in the other hand has 384 CUDA cores and clocked at 1058MHz, the memory is clocked at 5GHz and has 1GB of GDDR5 which is 128 bit wide. These cards are aimed to take on the HD 7850 and HD 7750 with its price to performance ratio. The GTX 660 will have a MSRP of $229 and the GTX 650 will have a MSRP of $149, both of this cards will be available at launch.
