The iPad mini is Apple's latest and greatest device but inside of it is not the latest and greatest from Apple, in fact it is running old hardware. One of the greatest deal breakers of the iPad mini is not the hardware it is running of but the lack of a retina display which is pretty common now in Apple products. Now there are reports from China stating that manufacturers are getting ready for the mass production of the retina display of the iPad mini 2. AU Optronics in the other hand is expected to mass produce the iPad mini 2's 7.9" retina display which has a 2048 X 1536 resolution in the second half of 2013. So if you do the math that is a massive 324PPI. That also means that Apple will most probably use a 4K resolution for the iPad 5's display. So get ready for 2013 as it is the year of higher resolutions and maybe a total iOS UI overhaul.
