Samsung Galaxy S III #1 Selling Smartphone In Q3 2012

The Samsung Galaxy S III is Samsung's most successful smartphone to date and it is also the most best selling android phone out there now. The Galaxy S III has been out for about 5 months now and Q3 was the first full quarter that it is on sale. Recently Samsung revealed that they have sold over 30 million units of their flagship phone. Strategic Analytics has revealed that Samsung sold over 18 million units of their flagship phone in Q3. That makes up 11% of the total smartphone marketshare. Apple in the other hand managed to sell over 16 million iPhone 4S in the three month period. This makes the Galaxy S III the number 1 smartphone sold in Q3. Keep noted that Apple has not yet began sales of the iPhone 5 in Q3.
