Earlier this week Google announced the latest version of android dubbed Jellybean but has the version number 4.2. Now the monthly numbers of android distribution is out and it shows that version 4.1 has grown to 2.7% from 1.8% last month. ICS in the other hand is not the second most used android version with a 25.8% market share. The first place is still held by gingerbread which has a massive 53.9% and that number is slowly going down. So now 80% of the all android phones are running android 2.3 or higher. Android 4.1's market share is poised to increase next month because Samsung is updating their Galaxy S III to it and the Galaxy Note II sales have been very well. Other handsets running jellybean out of the box are also starting to reach the market this month.
