Nvidia Officially Announces The Tegra 4

As expected, Nvidia today has officially announced their next gen Tegra processor dubbed the Tegra 4. They are calling the Tegra 4 the world's fastest mobile processor period. As leaked a few weeks back, the Tegra 4 has a 4+1 cores paired up with 72 GPU cores and is the world's first cortex A15 quad core processor. The Tegra 4 is also built on the 28nm manufacturing processor which makes it more efficient. There is a downside of the Tegra 4, which is that it does not have an integrated LTE chip. Which means it needs a third party chip to aid in LTE connectivity, that solution will come later in the year. The new chip not only increases gaming performance but can make instant HDR photos. Linking to today's keynote, Nvidia also announced Project Shield which will be built around the Tegra 4 processor
