Earlier today Sony announced the Xperia Z at their pre CES 2013 press conference. The Z alongside the ZL will be Sony's flagship device for 2013 and will compete with devices like the HTC M7 and Galaxy S IV. The Z has a 5" 1080P Bravia screen which is equals to a 440 PPI. The Z is the first device ever to be fully covered in glass, literally everything is covered by glass. Not to mention that the Z is also full dust and waterproof and passes the IP57 certification. The device itself comes in three colors and the whole package is pretty low profile at 7.9mm. The most eye catching part of this phone is not the full HD screen or the glass back but its the power button which is very shiny and is placed on the right center of the deivce. Inside the device there is a 1.5GHz quad core processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of expandable storage. The camera on the Z is just stunning and for the first time ever a smartphone can take HDR shots. All this is powered by a 2,330 mAh battery. This device will ship in Q2 2013 and will be running Android 4.1.2 out of the box.
