While the market share of android in the US increased, android adoption rate also continues to grow. This time there is some good news a ICS adoption is now doubled and has now surpassed froyo. But still gingerbread is still one of the most used version of android. The doubling of ICS adoption was mainly because manufacturers were pushing updates to existing devices, ICS devices rolling out and the fact that the Galaxy S III is now out. Gingerbread still holds a massive 60.6% whereas froyo has 15.5% and ICS is not far with 15.9%. Jellybean had a 8% adoption which is pretty amazing because it is only out for a month or so.
