Samsung Windows 8 Based Mobile Devices Will Be Called Samsung Ativ

Windows Phone 8 is set to be released in Q4 2012 and devices are expected to be available for the holiday season. Currently Samsung's lineup of Windows 8 based mobile devices are called Omnia and Focus. Now SamMobile tweeted that Samsung has trademarked a name for its windows 8 based mobile products. The new name will be called Ativ and with the absence of the Galaxy name we are quite confident it will not be an android device. Their lineup of windows phone 8 devices will most probably be called Samsung Ativ and flagship models will be most probably called Samsung Ativ S. Samsung may just name Windows Phone devices like how they name their Galaxy based android devices. We are expecting to see a few windows 8 devices revealed by Samsung at IFA 2012 later this week.
