When Microsoft announced the Surface tablet many people were amazed by it but some Manufacturers didn't think that Microsoft was doing something good as it might affect some of its hardware partners. The Surface will come in two versions, the Pro and RT version. The RT version will be using Windows 8 RT with an ARM processor. One thing Microsoft did not say when they unveiled the Surface is how much will it cost. They already confirmed that the Surface RT will launch alongside Windows 8 and the Pro version will come within 3 months of the launch of Windows 8. Now it seems like we have got a price on the Surface RT, According to an inside source, a session was held at Microsoft's recent TechReady15 conference in which all the launch details were laid out. Most importantly is that the Surface RT is confirmed to launch on October 26 and will be priced at $199 (Nope that is not a typo). It seems that Microsoft is trying to get in to the latest tablet trends which is more power for a lower price. But Microsoft is stepping up the game by pricing the Surface RT at $199. At that price it can be compared with the Nexus 7, Kindle Fire and Nook Tablet. Although the Hardware in the Surface RT might not be that perfect it is still more bigger and can be more productive than any other tablet at that price point. This will then catch a lot of attention from consumers and people who want more power for less. This might just drive sales of the Surface RT off charts and will make other tablets obsolete or it might just end up being a big loss for Microsoft. Personally, it think if Microsoft really price the Surface RT at $199 many people will get it, just take the Nexus 7 fo instance it broke Google's expectations. This proves that Consumers love cheap products which perform very well.
