The Samsung Galaxy S III is currently the flagship android device and has a massive 4.8" display. Most of the smartphones now are having a 4" plus screen but not all people like massive screens. A new report by SamMobile said that Samsung is working on a smaller version of the Galaxy S III and it will be called the Galaxy S III Mini. The screen on this device has been made smaller to 4 inches and the camera has also been downgraded to a 5MP camera. The processor will be swapped with a dual core processor. There is a pretty logical explanation why Samsung is doing this, it is because Samsung wants this phone to compete with the iPhone 5. Although the device will not have such a premium feel compared to the iPhone 5, the price will catch the eyes of users. The Galaxy S III Mini is expected to be priced at 250 Euros ($314.50 USD) and is 400 Euros ($503.20 USD) cheaper than the iPhone 5 which is priced at 650 Euros ($817.70 USD). The iPhone 5 is also expected to have a 4" screen.
Other than that Samsung is also expected to release a subsidized Samsung Galaxy S II called the Samsung Galaxy S Plus. The device will have a 4.3" screen, a single core CPU, an 8MP camera and will come with ICS. Lastly another source said that a new Samsung phone called the Samsung Galaxy S Premier (GT-i9260). This phone will be similar in terms of specs if compared to the Galaxy S II Plus, but this device will feature a 4.65" Super HD Amoled screen and is allegedly running Android 4.1 Jellybean out of the box

There have been many leaks and renders of how the Nokia Windows Phone 8 devices will look like. Now it seems like we have the real phone itself, this device is supposedly the Lumia 820 or Nokia Arrow. This device has a 4.3" display with an expected resolution of 480 X 800 and is is also the lowest resolution of the three supported resolutions in Windows Phone 8. Onboard this prototype device is 335MB of RAM (most probably rounded of to 512MB), this then makes us believe that this is going to be a mid range or entry level device and can also mean that Windows Phone 8 does not need such high end hardware. Unfortunately the processor in this device is sill unknown but it will most probably be a dual core.

This week we started off with Apple winning Samsung in the trial between each other which lasted for 2 weeks. This week there is not much new on the iPhone 5 as most of the attention was on the Galaxy Note II and IFA 2012. Also when the Galaxy Note II launched Apple's stock price dropped, personally i think that the Galaxy Note II is going to be competing with the iPhone 5 when both devices are in the market. Earlier this week there is a parody video about the iPhone 5, click the link in the news section below to watch the video. Then a few day after that the iPhone 5 release date has been re confirmed with AT&T blacking out vacation days for its employees on the rumored iPhone 5 release date which is on September 21. Then in the following day the iPhone 5 display assembly was leaked and an NFC chip was spotted, after that news started spreading around some reports replied by saying that the iPhone 5 might not have NFC because there is no space for it if according to the leaked parts. Then yesterday some more iPhone 5 images leaked and this time among the many images there was one which it the motherboard and on it is the A6 chip. To date we are still not sure about the specs of the A6 chip wheter it is a quad core or a dual core is yet to be known. Then today there were leaks of the iPhone 5 which in the pictures the iPhone 5 was physically compared against the iPhone 4S and iPhone 3GS. One of the comparisons include a thickness comparison between the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S and iPhone 3GS. That picture showed that the iPhone 5 is visibly thinner than previous generations. The iPhone 5 is expected to be around 7.6mm this according to a few sources which measured the leaked iPhone 5 body, for some visual comparison of thickness the Galaxy S III is 8.6mm. The Galaxy S III is in the category of thin device, so if the iPhone 5 is measuring at 7.6mm in terms of thickness then it might catch the eyes of some consumers. Nvidia is ready to launch the remaining of the 600 series GPU's which are the entry level gaming cards. The GTX 660 is one of it and unlike its bigger brother the GTX 660 Ti it does not feature the GK104 core but sports the GK 106 chip. The GTX 660 will also be the only card which will be using the GK 106 core. Now we have leaks from two different manufacturers and the cards leaked are based on a non reference design. The MSI GTX 660 Power Edition has 960 CUDA cores and is clocked at 980MHz with a boost clock of 1033MHz. It will also feature 2GB of RAM which is 192 bit wide, the memory is clocked at 6.08GHz. This card will support up to 3 way SLI and features the Twin Frozr IV Cooler as well as Military Class III Components. The TDP of this card is 170w and takes power from dual 6 pin power connectors.
The second card which was leaked is the Asus GTX 660 Direct CU II. The clock speeds of this card is still not yet confirmed but it will most probably be clocked pretty similar to the MSI GTX 660 Power Edition. This card requires dual 86 pin power connectors. Both of these cards is slated to be launching in the second week of September with an MSRP of $229-$249.
