Samsung Ativ S Physically Compared With The Galaxy S III

A few days ago at Samsung's Mobile Unpacked event at IFA 2012 they announced the Samsung Ativ S which is their flagship Windows Phone 8 device and also the firs ever Windows Phone 8 device announced. The Ativ S is basically a Windows Phone 8 version of their flagship android device the Galaxy S III. The Samsung Ativ S has a dual core Krait Snapdragon S4, the reason why Samsung did not put their exynos processor in the Ativ S is because Windows Phone 8 only supports a variety of processors. The Ativ S has a 4.8" Super HD Amoled screen with a 1280 X 720 resolution. The Ativ is also Samsung's first smartphone to be made out of aluminum compared to all samsung galaxy phones which are made out of plastic, this makes the Ativ S feel a bit more premium in the hand. The only physical difference between the Galaxy S III and the Ativ S is that the Ativ S is less rounded and the presence of the three windows buttons as well as a dedicated camera shutter button.
